Standard Process is a Wisconsin-based, multi-generational, family-owned and operated, nutritional supplement company that’s been in business for over 90 years. Here, family is at the heart of everything we do – and family includes everyone – employees, health care practitioners, patients, and their families and pets, too. From our founder, Dr. Royal Lee, to today’s President & CEO, Charlie DuBois, we have forged purposeful relationships that have been collaborative and mutually driven by our shared passion for changing lives.
From our inception, Dr. Royal Lee recognized the negative impact the Standard American Diet had on overall health. He believed that processed foods depleted our food sources of the rich nutrition once found in them. He understood that good health comes from good nutrition, and the best nutrition comes from whole foods. Dr. Lee dedicated his life to perfecting the production of whole food-based supplements from the soil used to grow crops to the manufacturing processes used to create the supplement – Standard Process has always focused on putting vitality into every product.
The Possible™ Bar grew out of our partnership with world record-holder and explorer, Colin O’Brady. For two of Colin’s recent expeditions, the Impossible First, where he crossed Antarctica solo and unsupported, and the Impossible Row, where he was part of the first team to row across the Drake Passage using only human power, we provided nutritional support through a custom-made bar, affectionately nicknamed the “Colin Bar”.
To bring the power of whole food-based nutrition to high-achieving athletes everywhere, our team of food scientists at the Standard Process Nutrition Innovation Center developed the Possible Bar based on the Colin Bar’s formula, but in a format that could be accessible to everyone. It contains a blend of Standard Process supplements, and reflects our passion for performance. Extending our partnership with Colin, the Possible Bar even made it all the way to the awe-inspiring K2, as he and his climbing partner relied on its nutrition to fuel their incredible winter summit attempt of one of the world’s most notorious mountains.
